So sorry for your loss! About ten years ago my grandparents both passed within two weeks of each other after 65 years togather. If there is a strange part, it is that my grandmother that died two weeks after my grandfather, did not know that her husband had passed.

My deepest sympthy to you and your family. Mom's are special.

My dad died 21 years ago today, less than a month before his first grandchild was born. At the time it was pretty sad. But it does mean my little baby girl has a big birthday comig up soon!

When my Mom died in 2004 it hit me harder for some reason. I guess just because we feel like we should be there to protect them. But i reality they did so much more than we'll ever know to keep us safe.

MB, I think I felt guilty cause I could'nt do anything ta stop what happened. She was 76 yrs old and had been in poor health for many years. After her companion passed a month ago she said she was ready to go too. We couldnt change her mind, even with 3 sons ,10 grand kids and 6 great grand kids she said she had nothing ta live for. I guess thats how you feel when you get that old and in that shape. I really miss her!!! She was a great mother!!
