Default V-20 in Mass.

Hello,
I have a chance to buy an '88 V-20 in Cape Cod. Engine is a Johnson 115 4-stroke (2003), apparently a Suzuki derivative and the asking price is $9500. Is this a reliable engine ? Is it enough power for this boat ?
Your comments would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Rosie

yes and yes to both questions, 115 worked well for me on my V20 cuddy and the engine is a good reliable and fuel efficient platform. some would say a 150 would be better and in general I would agree but my 115 pushed mine very well. If you are looking for highest top speeds then it would not be the best engine but mine pushed me and a couple of guys a full tank and three sided enclosure to just about 35 mph and sipped fuel.

Rosie - I am selling my '91 V20 w/ '91 Yamaha 150 for half that price. I am in Falmouth if you are interested.
