Default New (to me) motor arrived

The beast is here. 2001 Mercury (Yamaha) 90 hp four stroke. It is a heavy beast of a motor for 90 hp. 386lbs. The guy delivered it to MJ's junkyard, errrr.....I mean appliance repair, errrrr.....house. yeah. That's it.
Aside from a couple of scuffs on the motor cover, it appears to be in great shape. Approximately 100 hours on the motor. Just serviced at the dealer the end of last year. Came complete with controls, wiring, tach, cales, etc. I just need a prop for it.
For your viewing pleasure..........we'll start of with one of the big guy himself. Master appliance tech MJ;

I think I did okay for $2500. Now I just have to get it hung on the boat and sell the old motor and controls.

Chumbuddy thats a great deal. I paid $2000 last year for a used 15hp 4 stroke. Once you get that crusty stuff in the first picture cleaned off it'll be perfect.

That crusty stuff might make the belt brake over time.
Better get rid of it now.

Nice! Congrats CB. Won't be long now buddy. I wish I lived closer, I'd give you a hand...

Removing that crust in the first pic is at least a four to five man job ;-)
