On Plexi you can use a sander to round the edges.
Starboard works with all wood tools, I did all my stuff with a router, CB cut the sliders for me with a router so I could put the sliding hatch under and slide, hes better aty it then I!! Hammer did a great job on his swim platform with a router!! And all of us made nice anchor pulpits out of starboard!!
