Oh get me started on the "native americans" being "one with the land".
I have a passion for finding their trash that they have thrown about in their quest for food. I have almost stopped collecting shards of pottery unless they are unique. The indians basically used all the resources in their local and then moved on and would return to the same area the next year or even 200years later depending on the resources availability. Wandering nomads best describe them. Oh and by the way one part of my Heinse 57 bloodline is Seminole. My great grandmother was full blooded.

Ok Tsub - can't tell if you hate em or love the Native Americans from that rant :-/
But, I'll say that I think they did an outstanding job (intentional or not) of managing their God given resources...it wasn't until "white man" came along that we had to have EVERYTHING. No, we couldn't be happy just being able to eat, sleep and reproduce....heck no. Gotta have as much of everything as we can get our hands on! So dam greedy IMO. Hell that's the reason I'm stuck behind this desk right now working for somebody else! Whoever decided we need to work 40 hours a week needs to be slowly tortured to death. Tsub if you are seriously an artifact hunter, I'll post up some pics of some of my finds for ya...if not I'm sure you don't care to see em. Blue

Love to see them. I have literally nothing too interesting.
I am so interested in them I spend more time looking when i'm supposed to be fishing and hunting. It just gets up my butt people that have no idea of how impossible it was to survive to age 35 during their era. I did researched the tribe locations before the relocations and ''Trail of Tears". It is amazeing the entire struggles the indians have endured. Hitler is a kindergardener compared to what the USA has done, I think it was Andrew Jackson that implimented the process.

Yeah but I bet you get paid for anything over 40 too, unlike me....I put in 36 hours STRAIGHT once.....31 another time....not so much as a THANK YOU. I came in the next day worn out and my boss said in his best smart @ss voice and I quote, "Awe, poor baby."
Work sucks.

BTW, my daughter and I "hunted" yesterday evening. ;) Didn't find much, a tip here, a base there, and a scraper. Got good and muddy!
I'll post some up soon. Keep an eye on "off topic".

I'll do it.
The area we are in will not hold hardly anything except pottery. If we find a piece of spearpoint or arrowhead, it was imported. I'll try to get pictures of the shards. The most interesting one came from north Georgia and ended up on one of the barrier islands.

Uploading my "point" pix now. Will post shortly.
So all you find is pottery shards? Never found one....all I find is spearpoints, birdpoints, scrapers, knives, and tomahawks ;)
