Very nice seabird. Very nice indeed. ;D I think you should let me and macojoe borrow that for an upcoming Cod fishing trip and we can thoroughly bathe that boat in blood, guts and fish slime. It'll have mucho fish MOJO when we're done with it. ;D ;D ;D
Just kidding of course. Did you buy the boat like that or did you do all the elbow grease cleaning and polishing? Also, I was trying to make out the state you're moored in from the registration #'s. Looks like New Hampshire (NH)???

Bird, are you trying to sell that boat on eBay? I noticed those same pictures on eBay with the starting bid at $12,000 with 8 hrs remaining in the auction.

You know, you should really save yourself some time and sell me that boat for $5000.

Nice boat!

Beautiful boat, great pics. Looks to me like she's in a northern lake -- I can feel the cool, refreshing water just by looking a the photos! Some of my best summers were spent on a lake in northern Michigan . . . but I am getting OT. When I look at a V-20 like this I wonder why anyone would want a new boat?!!

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I bought the boat in Wilmington NC in 99, and it had been sitting since hurricane Fran in 96. The boat was a wreck but the engine was a cherry. I had been looking for a trashed v-20 with a newer engine. I got it seaworhty and used it for a month or two before I started the boat restoration. I refinished boats for a living and I wanted to have one of the best boats made w/o paying for new. It took me a while to complete the endless hours of sanding and prepping and painting. I used Awl-grip top to bottom. I was in the middle of a career change
also so there was plenty of time for the paint to cure.
I accepted a job as a Firefighter in NH. I finally got the boat all finished( I didn't spare anything ). On its maiden voyage in 2003 the engine ran rough. It turned out to have two bad cylinders. Sitting too long the intake gasket dry rotted and leaned them out. I found a good mechanic and had the powerhead remanned. I think the engine had about 50-60 original hours before all this happened to it. So now its finally finished and we are moving back to NC. Unfortunately we need some $ to get us into a house and the boat is our ticket. Sorry about the novel here but thats why we have to sell our dream boat. The pics were taken at our family cottage on Damariscotta lake in Maine. I grew up in New Hampshire but the summers are way too short. I need to be back in the warm weather and year round boating.
