Need Merc Stator

I have a real goosd friend that needs a stator, Its a 1992 100 hp Merc, # 0D176112

I have beenn finding all kinds of numbers for this thing? Eventhe local mariner has come up with different numbers?

I have found one on ebay But not sure its right?

Stamped on the stator is # 398-9710A31 when I looked it up I also got this from the net, 398-8778A23

Then there was a note on one site that said that if you had 398-9710A31 then the part is 398-9710A11

Any help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know for sure but it is not unusual for them to change part numbers, especially since the newer parts are probably made in China.

But still not 100 %

Thanks stink I just sent them a email, I have found one on ebay for $100 Used and New on another site for $169, I am recomending the New one.
