I personally have had bad luck with the newer JOHNNY-RUDE ALUMINUM props. I've got a 14X19 for my 140 that tops out at 5500 RPM's and 43 MPH, but my STAINLESS VIPIR that is 13.25X19 runs out to 53 and 5600RPM's. A little food for thought.

A cupped 21" stainless steel prop will make that thing fly.

Lumber - I actually have the same issue. I have the stainless renegade 14 1/2 X 17 (I have to double check this, might be 15 1/2) and turn just under 5000 RPM. However, I have a v21 and a 175 hp etec. No idea how many knots I'm going. I'd feel better if it turned in the low to mid 5000s.

I plan on talking with the dealer this week and will let you know what I hear.
