I think LED's have a lifespan of something like 100,000 hours. So, I don't think the problem will ever be with them burning out.

As soon as LED trailer lights came out...coupla years ago or more, I put a set on my ol' trailer ... never have to unplug anymore; dunk 'em hot...fresh or salt and they've been problem free...goin' LED trailer lights is crazy ... like a FOX ;) ...
