HEADACHE

A few weeks ago I was in the house and heard a crash outside, so I went to investigate. As soon as I got in the front yard my neighbor was doing the same. I raised my hands as to say what the heck was that and she pointed toward Daddy’s house.
Well when I got over there he was standing there with his hands on his hips staring at the place where one of the boats that we were working on was located.

What happened was one of the trees across the ditch had fallen on one of his pecan trees and it fell on his house and the boat.
At the very moment the first tree started falling he was in the boat at the helm and couldn’t react quick enough to get completely out the way.
The pecan tree brushed him across the back of the head and knocked him to the bottom of the boat. If he had not moved at all, the trunk would have hit him square on the head. Note the trunk and the helm seat.

Well after all of this, the damage was so minimal that all you could do was shake your head. It only trashed the grill on the deck, slightly damaged two rows of shingles and barely scratched the boat.



Daddy asked, “you reckon the Devil is after me?” I replied, “no, he don’t want you, he is afraid you’ll take over”. ;D

WOW, don't know about the devil being after him, but it does look/sound like some one was looking out for him :o. Very lucky. I'm glad every thing is minimal
