In New Jersey , does anyone know how much it would cost to get a repair shop to do the transom? And do you know a shop that would do it?

Too bad, you are up north, I have a few buddies and a couple of six-packs, we could pour you a new one.
Good luck with your restoration, with the right setup it can be easy, With no experience, I did mine in my driveway. Before: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Gpb84GKQ2WaHiZcU9 After: https://photos.app.goo.gl/iLhLw8ZGzwddsUUZ9 To Date: https://photos.app.goo.gl/sff5FFY6gEuCP4nM9 |

great job i was wondering what you use to fill the void between the inner transom skin and outer skin? the transom is three pieces of plywood with the outer pieces at a angle from center piece. (currently rebuilding my 86 V20 cc transom )

Description ARJAY 6011 CERAMIC POURABLE TRANSOM COMPOUND ***8211; Since 1995, Arjay***8217;s Ceramic Pourable Compound is Over 50,000 Transoms Strong***8230;and Growing. Boat manufacturing processes have improved a lot over the years, and Arjay has been there every step of the way. Our CPC is becoming the standard for boat hull transoms, where extremely high compressive and flexural strengths and low exotherm in large masses are not only required, they***8217;re everything. Today***8217;s transoms hold more weight and power than ever before, and failure is not an option. Arjay products most often are developed with a specific application in mind. Our Ceramic Pourable Compound (CPC) is one such example. Its intended use is as a core material in the transoms of power boats. In this application CPC***8217;s low exotherm in considerable mass, high compressive strength (over 2,900 psi) and relative light weight (7.2 lbs/gal) combine to make it one of our more successful Performance Products. Product is sold by the 5-gallon pail. Catalyze with MEKP which is sold separately. But our customers have discovered many other uses for this versatile product: ***8226; Coring small parts ***8226; Providing a bed for mounting engines ***8226; Backing up two part molds ***8226; Repairing dry rot in transoms and stringers ***8226; Backing up marine hardware This is what it look like with all the wood gone, skin attached and sealed with glass and resin, no holes, we then mix and pour the ARJAY https://photos.app.goo.gl/Q8RTQ2v75Mg7onub9 |

Thank you, Sir, I gained lots of experience working with the various products and it all came together in my driveway.
I am currently working on 1995 18 ' Kenner, I have the entire deck pulled and will be replaced with 1/2 inch Coosa wrapped with glass and finished with Gel Coat or some new decking stuff as an experiment...LOL |
