| Hard Starting

Hey guys I recently got rid of my VRO tank and went to mixing oil into the gas. Everything is fine except when I go to use the boat after e few days to a week of not using it, it is hard to start the first time. It takes about 10-15 cranks to get it going, when it starts there is a fair amount of smoke initially. after that she runs and starts fine all day ( no smoke ). I never had this problem with the VRO hooked up. is this normal ?

i would say yes, most motors are 100 to 1 oil at idle, 50 to 1 at top speed, so when you come in thur a no wake zone you foul the plugs a little, so when you start the extra oil has to burn off. when i disconnected the oil injection on my old yamaha it would foul the plugs every 3 trips, always had spares, and changed them out. then cleaned the used ones and reused the next time.
