Default Red velvet ant sting test

Due to a discussion on a hunting board Im on about the red velvet ant sting I decided to do an experiment.

I recruited a buddy (my future BIL) to help me out with the experiment. Here are the results....I injured the ant trying to grab him with tweezers. He was trying to sting but I don't think he was packing full heat.

I am now searching for another bigger ant to try on myself maybe today.

You need a padded cell. They call them "Cow Killers" for a reason..

Yeah I'd like to use my BIL as a test subject.
Stink you might want to show some respect to them things. Probably called Cow Killers for a reason.

Oh i know, thats why I talked HIM into it.

They got at least a 1/4" stinger. We got to talking about it and just felt it "had" to be done.

It whelped up later about like any wasp sting but it wasnt to bad.

My eight year old niece in Louisiana has one of those in a bottle. Nobody knew what it was. Mom is trying to get in touch with them now.

Stink be careful with them.
