Default New Man Cave

Well I have wanted to build since last year and I am now in motion!!

A couple of weeks ago my son and I dug a 100' x 4' deep hole in the yard by hand!! This runs the water and power under ground to the shed.
4' is necessary to keep the water from freezing here in the NE.

we then built the floor with some help of friends, wow was that a bit ch getting level and square!!!

Then the last 2 days to get all framed, now if I just can figure out the roof?? I want to make it a Gambrel so I have a 2nd floor when I am done this thing will be same sq feet as my house!! CB says its to big, I say the bigger the better!

Here are some pic's

Son, uncles girl friend and uncle on ladder

Has a 36" door on the right, and a 6' door on the front with two windows I am going to add another window on the 36" door side then a few on 2nd floor.

MJ it looks really nice but there are two things I would like to point out,

1) a straight trench uses less pipe and cable.

2) How come we only see others doing the work?

Good luck on your project.

MJ - what kind of stairs will you use to access the upstairs? Stairs inside or outside? How wide? If inside the stair casing can take up a lot of room. I'm assuming it will be inside and only wide enough to be practical as to not use too much space but still be able to carry stuff up to the loft.

Looks good, wish I could start building a shop.
It will be inside and it will be as small as i can get away with. s you will see I have let the building get away from me some!
Permit said i could be 16 x 24 and no more then 20 feet tall, well its now 19' 10" And I think i hve to pile some xdirt around thwe building to help with the measure!!

So wht you think??

You could have offered him indoor storage if this project was started earlier.
You're out of control!!!!!!!!! I think you're pushing the building permit envelope regarding what's considered a shed.
