I maybe wrong but for some reason I remember seeing a pic of a V with a spotlite like that on the bow. I think that boat has been on this forum.

Back up and running here. We were without power for roughly 30 hours. Other that some fallen branches, not too much damage in my area. Others didn't fare as well.

You know...in the dimest part of my feeble memory, that lite does look a bit familiar...

You might have seen an old pic of SkunkBoat.
I used to have a spotlight just like that but replaced it with an anchor roller.

Mine is safe on a trailer in a field but this Whaler in my neighborhood was not so lucky!

Hey Guys, made it through Irene! Had lots of wind and rain. It shreaded my big pecan trees and we lost some shingles but we're OK. We lost power Saturday morning and just got it back on today. Got a tornado warning this afternoon at Nucor in Hertford co. Got some terrible rain and howling wind. We all ran to the tornado shelter for 20 minutes and it passed above the mill. That'll make the hair stand up on the back of your neck! I'm off for four days, got alot of yard cleaning to do, and I'm ready for some nice calm weather!!

Yeah...there's a lot of pissin' and moanin' about the media over-blowing Irene...but for some of the worst hit areas in VT and others, I bet they don't think it was overblown at all...

I've found there are those who are gonna complain no matter what...

This was the worst flood we've ever had. Worse than the 1984 flood that everyone used as a reference point. Lost everything in the basement when the foundation wall cracked due to the hydraulic pressure of the water and let the water pour into the basement through the crack. It simply overwhelmed my sump pumps. Appears that the house may have shifted about an inch. Havent told the wife yet, she's a wreck as it is. Real trooper, making due without hot water, no indoor plumbing (septic system is full) and yet she's putting food on the table and making plans.
Boiler, washer/dryer/workshop/tools/walls/paneling/lights/everything is gone. Waiting to see if they condem the house because of the foundation wall. Either way we're moving. Neither my wife or myself can take it any more. Took it 26 years, but the river's finally won. The water is still 4 feet deep in the street in front of my house, and about a foot deep around my house. My house is a raised ranch, so the main floor with all the furniture etc stayed dry.. So God spared us that much. I guess he has different plans for us than to stay here.
