If you know an Electrician, he'll have a conduit bender...if you know a painter, He's probably ON a bender... ;D...

I am an electrician, and I have the benders. A conduit bender will leave a mark on the tube where it starts on the inside. Bill Mc ;D

Mac, can the end of the bender be padded so as not to leave the mark?... :)...

Am I missing something? When we are talking about bending bow rail, I'm thinking about the large 3-4ft radius hoop to form the bow. What tight radius bends are we talking about. Stick with me ...sometimes I'm slow ;D

For tight radius bends, thay make tubing benders that are very easy to use, I use them at work all the time for bending hydraulic line (hand benders up to 3/4" O.D. S.S.)

I'm not sure how you would bend the bow radius.

Are you talking about using 7/8" alluminum?

Yes Rap padding will help. When making a sweep bend mark your pipe in equal increments and apply the same degree of bend at each of these points. Bill Mc ;D

why dont you make a templet of your bow radius out of plywood an with a friend bend it around it to shape, thats what the canvas shops use to make the bows for the tops.thats why ,no two canvas tops have the same look, they all have there own patern

Shicks, I imagine stainless-steele tubing rather than alum. ...
