Jimmy is right behind Jack in my book tied for second with the Wild Turkey as his wing man.
Of course there are sundowners with Bombay and lime and winter cold warm you ups with Mr. Jameson. I have friends in all the right places 8) The time warp inference was directed at your responding to a month old post like it happened today. But it could be delayed reactions due to the cumaltive effect of too much sun and too may Corona's. Which don't make you a bad guy, just caused a little pause in my chain of thought which is very deep once Jack and I sit down. Dejavue can be a mystical experience ;D

Dont take this personally but there were some very serious stringer lay up and transom rot problems with bayliners up until at least the early 90's so I would check it out real carefully before putting too much money into it. My brother in law has a 1999 34 or 35 footer on the hudson river that I would never take out into the ocean but thats just me..Frank

Your right and the strange thing is they are the parent company of Trophy, and I got to tell you, especially the last 5-6 years those are some sweet boats and are put together pretty well.

Well brother willy. The Bayliner Trophy models have been around for quite a few years. Bayliner has had such a problem shaking those reputations from years ago, that they finally dropped the Bayliner name from the Trophy line of boats. They're still made by the same company.
Yes they do look good, but they are still having some serious quality issues. they may have overcome some of their structural issues. I really haven't followed their transformation all that closely. MJ and I know of one person that had many issues with a Trophy within one year of buying new. Motor (I/O) problems can't be blamed on Trophy but spider cracks and similar problems can. I've heard other stories from other owners as well. They've always been a price point seller. Lure the customer in (usually a first time owner) then sell them lots of options. No thanks.

I know a guy w/ a 21 TrophyW/A cuddy, 2003 I think. The boat has pretty nice lines. He doesn't have alot of time on it, maybe 80hrs on the clock [he's the second owner] I've done a quick "on the trailer tour" of the boat and it's "ok"....fit and finish just isn't there and most of the components seems flimsy....the 150 optimax has had some issues as well.....While better.....I think the Bayliner legacy still haunts the Trophy, IMO

It's like they say CB you get what you pay for, My good friend fishes regulary with a fellow who has a Trophy 23 WA outboard and he says the boat has held up well, guy runs off shore with it all the time and does a lot of inshore fishing as well. No gel cracks, no wood and the hull design handles the seas well. He would have spent another twenty thousand for the same boat from Century, Pro Line etc. Thats a lot of gas and bait and accessories in that difference. The fellow is looking to by their 27 footer and move up, he likes them that well. I don't know, just seems that the boats these days are so over priced and it appears you get a lot of boat from Trophy for the money.

A good friend of mine has a 99 or 2000 Trophy wa cuddy 21. We took it offshore last year. I hated it. It wasnt setup worth a crap and the way its layed out doesnt make sense. There is no room in it. My 18 has more fishing room and handles the water better too.
Another bud has the same thing in a center console. He has done LOTS of repairs under the deck and console and in the access hatches where "Gayliner" left wood completely unglassed. Its was just left open to rot and had already started to on a fairly "new" boat. Just MHO.

Hmm............So was the Bayliner that was in the bay two years ago, when just sitting there the transom motor and all fell off!!
If you gave me a Bayliner for free I would Burn it so no one would have to use it!! I saw one at a boat show a few years ago, the dealer wanted to sell it to me. I said you can't give it to me!! I said they crack all over!! He says no they don't we ship to dealer and they install bow rails, ect ect ect... And thats why they crack cause the dealer installs them wrong. Well I looked as his nice new Company Boat and said why is this one cracked then?? CB and I just walked away!!
