well not easy to make a harness better to buy one it plugs into your controls box. the harness has 3 wires a Purple, grey, black, OMC don't use the dark blue. But buy the harness usually cost $8

Purple is power on with ignition switch

Grey is the tach sending unit wire

Black it the ground
