GPS Antennae Location

That is exactly where I mounted my Garmin, I am picking up five satellites in my driveway. It seems to be missing the ones low on the horizon but I think that is due to the trees and houses surrounding me. I really don't want to go back to West Marine and do the "pretty please shuffle" but I am wondering if that is not the safest way to go.
