Hey Fish, I saw your post over at the Bassbarn, Welcome. I would post your question under its own topic, you'll get more responses.

Those are my fishing grounds around the CBBT and off Va Beach. I have a cc which I do have a bimini top with sides and a front which has a zipper door. Its nice for real cold days trolling but it does limit you to fishing from the back of the boat which works. If your not trolling the CBBT your either floating or anchord which both are fine to fish from the rear of the boat. The biggest problem is night and glare. I do not fish that much in the winter months but when I do I'm able to choose my days because I'm self emp. Good luck with what ever you decide.

Fish, Check out the old catalogs that are posted under the "History" section on the main page. You should be able to see the difference in the models there.

Thanks for everyone's comments. I'm leaning towards the DC with bimini and enclosure. Easy access to the bow is a plus and would be fairly good in weather. If I can get away for half a day from work, I'll look at some/probably drag one home! (then the work begins......... :o )

The feedback is much appreciated.

if your going offshore, the cuddy wins hands down, i used to fish a 233 Formula cuddy, we ran 6 lines( sometimes 8 on a calm day) and two teasers off the riggers( big riggers for a 23), even though the boat was an I/O we still had plenty of room for three guys to handle the lines and drink, i mean fish. I fished a 23( actually bigger than the Formula) SeaCraft center console later in the year, it was rough so no one got in front of the console, we didn't have near the room that the Formula gave us, we had a mess handling the lines. If it is flat or spread out waves on a regular basis( like in Fl), you can take advantage of the center consoles room, but if its rough, or cold and short chop( form here up the coast), everone ends up behind the console and in the way of the capt.

I'll take it! But you didn't say what you'd trade for, so I guess I get to decide.

Hmmm, how bout a 12pk of natty lite and a fully refurbished, professionally cleaned, lightly-used and never abused sex swing? ;D
