Just tell him to add a fixed jack plate, that will raise it 5 inches giving him a short shaft.

mj I think hes already bought the parts i believe he said it set him back a couple hundred

Hope he makes out well!

I thought going to a short shaft was easy, by just putting a short shaft lower unit on??

I know going longer means a spacing kit and other stuff, making it harder??

reel were lookin at 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow ;Dso no water for me yet hes prob gonna have the boat another week I think , then Iam getting the bottom done,,,,, Iam in no rush ;) ;) ;)
