When I was having my V20 preped to be launched for the season my local Mercury dealer notified me that the fuel cooler line had burst and the fuel cooler needed to be replaced.
I had never heard of a fuel cooler on a outboard before. I assume this is to prevent vapor lock due to high temperatures under the engine cowling. Has anyone else had any experience with this? The dealer told me the line bursts due to the high pressure (90 psi) in the fuel line. ??? |
