Oh, you mean the cap! ;D That was just screwed on. I took it off when I first started the transom. I'm not sure what year yours is, on my '71 the boat is three pieces: Cap, Inner Liner and Hull. When they raised the floor it looks like they combined the cap and inner liner.

Thats good I was worried that you cut the cap section off and was thinking that would be very tough to reproduce. That foam your taking out looks like the same foam that was standard in my hull. The only places it was is between the runners.

Looks good Jeff, You definitely have your work cut out for you. I got to that point with my old V-20 but chickened out and took her to the crusher.
