Yep - Maco is correct. '88 model year brought several changes - I have one. There is only room for 1 battery (at least on my model). It drops thru the transom hatch lid on left side of motor (looking back at motor). The lid on the right side - has a small baitwell under the lid ... and you cant get anything past the baitwell. As far as the raised floor - its all what you prefer. The floor will self-drain "outside" the hull - but you give up maybe 2.5" of gunnel height. I like to fish in the ocean leaning up against the gunnel ? The extra height of the pre-'88 models is what I prefer - it just feels safer.
