Well boys, I wore the uniform for the last time last night. A bitter sweet experience that is hard to explain. My guys had a cake made so we ate it at three in the morning.
I am on terminal leave now until my official last day of March 1st. It's been an interesting, to say the least, career. Worked with a lot of good cops. Now I am in full blown job search. But I am also appreciative, not many guys get to take a pension at 28 years, age 52 and start a second career. So I'm looking forward to it, keeping my options open. Life is never dull ;D
