Yeah Pikfish, its a 20" shaft. I woud prefer it was 25" for the bracket too. I know that would be better but figured I would just buy a 20" motor for the repower.

I dont know that it would be worth moving the bracket and all after I already re glass my transom?

I wanna say MJ had a formula he used on his for the setback and it was like 1" of lift for every 12" of setback?

I was gonna research that more when time came because there is alot to do between now and then.

But since we are on the subject what is the correct formula?

If MJ is right then I would mount the bracket to where my cavitation plate was approximately 3" over the current location (bottom of hull).
