Default TODAY FISHING

WENT OUT TODAY WITH MY FATHER FOR SOME SEA BASS, MY POP WENT TO A FLUKE RIG AND I TO A SEA BASS RIG, THE WATER WAS FLAT UP HERE IN RI WELL MY POP GOT 4 SEA BASS ON HIS RIG AND I GOT 4 NICE FLUKE AND 1 BASS ON MY RIG , A LOT OF SMALL FISH WITCH MADE THE DAY, LOT OF BAIT LOST ,THE ONE BIG FLUKE HAD 2 SMALL SCUP IN ITS BELLY, FLUKE STILL IN DEEP WATER 73 FEET, RAIN TOMARROW BUT WE ARE GOING OUT GOING TO FISH THE DEEP HOLES 80-170 FEET SEE WHAT WE GET, PICS MONDAY WHEN I GET BACK TO JERSEY.

Capt, if you don't mind me asking - how much lead do you use on a fluke rig to get down to 70 + feet? Gotta be quite a chunk of lead I would think. Most of the floundering we do down here is in shallow water. Please edumacate me ;D

Nice to see you have not gave up and you are still getting the Fluke.
Rumor has it there are some real large stripped ones romming around the mouth of the bay 8)

YEA THERE THERE AROUND BEVERTAIL AND DUTCH 20-30 LBS MY FATHER GOES OUT WITH HIS FRIEND WITH TUBE AND WORM AND GETS THEM I HOLD OUT A LITTLE LONGER I STILL WANT MY 50 LB I HAVE POSTED MY 49 LB IN THE PAST BUT STILL NOT IN THE 50 CLUB BUT MY FATHER HAS HAD A FEW

49lbss :o So close....

It should start getting real intresting/good in the next few days/weeks. There was two 60's in the last week and actually one guy with a 63, 2 50's and a 40 off of Comerant rock/elbow ledge area two Sundays ago with eels. right place right time i gues ::)
I think the commericial guys maxed out there 20,000lbs quota in 5 days :-X

YOU GOT TO TRY LIVE LINING PORGE AT ABOUT 5-10 FEET OFF THE BOTTOM IM NOT BIG ON TROLLING I LIKE TO FISH THE FISH, OLD SCHOOL THE WAY MY GRAND FATHER FISHED

Live bait will out fish anything hands down.. Exspecially if you are looking for large.
