Those things are DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(
Run like your hair is on fire!!!! Seriously. The tunnel drive sucks. 23' is too small for a flybridge, and they roll like a prom date. :-X

Very inefficient (at least on the Penn Yans) and a huge gas guzzler. Ever see one plowing through the water? Literally plowing, throwing up that rooster tail astern. All that water being pushed past the surface is not good propulsion efficiency. :P

My father inlaw had a 23' Penn Yan. Gass guzzler yes top heavy yes. We had some great times on the boat but its not a boat I'd want! They were built solid though. Billy Mac ;D

can we say tunnel = junk, which makes boat POS / NFG, If you were to bracket it would be ok maybe. Better yet sink it and make a reef.

Hammer, they are tough well made boats, and they made them with and I/O option, much better set up. I missed a chance to buy one I think was a 26 footer cuddy type I/O. Would of, actually tried to but got sold before I reacted. They are comfortable and nice riding dry boats but the tunnel set up does them in. They were built tougher than a lot of much more expensive boats and usually had a nice layout inside. They are very popular up in Michigan area where my Dads family is at and I talked to more than a few owners there on the big lake who would not trade them for the world.
Again if I saw another mint I/O like the one I saw I would sell off one of the super models in training and get ;D
