Bet ya thought you were going to see a V-20! tricked ya! I am boat rich right now. Never thought I'd have a small, medium(the V-20!), and large boat. Now I just have to get the big one here.

I looked at that one on eBay a while back. I took note of it because it looked real nice and seemed like a good deal. Glad to hear you snagged it Havis! Let us know how it goes!

Havis, just a word of caution about what you may be getting into. I owned a similar style and aged boat for 3 years. They are good heavyduty cruisers, but they require a lot of work to keep them going. I have a limited amount of time available for boating, and I found myself using most of that time for working on that boat with very little time left for using it. I got tired of all that work, sold that boat and bought a V-20.
Of the 6 boats that I've owned, the outboard powered V-20
has required the least amount of work, which gives me the maximum amount of use time.

Yes, I know....I've been in the marine business for years and gradually turned the business toward land based backup generators. I spent a lot of time on other peoples boats making them run and the generators work. The worst part is the gawd-awful condition some of these people let thier boats get into. At the time I swore I'd never have a boat I couldn't clean with a water hose and pressure washer. But now, I think I need something with A/C so the family will come along on those offshore trips. Another plus, we can use it for company entertainment :) I'm going to bring her here to the shop and put her up on blocks for the winter and address all the maintainable items and if the engines don't pass a good leakdown test (or are otherwise iffey), I'll put in a pair of Yanmar diesels while she's out, but I'd rather wait on repowering until I'm sure I want to keep the boat. Another plus, this type boat is readily selling for 18-25K around here (if I don't like it).
