I have recently purchased a 1990 20' Sport center console powered by a 150 Eninrude but we are re-powering with a 200 Johnson. What type of performance can I expect and what are their problems? From everything that I have read these are great boats.

Welcome to wellcraftv20.com. I don't think you'll be sorry with your selection in boats. If you're a center console person, the V20 is among the better choices you could have made from my perspective. Mine was powered with a 150 Yamaha and I saw 38 mph with a 17 pitch prop. Depending on how you prop that 200, you should see 42-44mph on the top end.
Going new on the motor? Tell is more. Oh, and BTW, we're gonna need to see some pics soon. 8) ;D Enjoy your time here and with the boat. ;)

I bought this boat on E-BAY. It's in good shape but as with any 15 year old boat it will need to have systems updated. I restored antique and classic cars professionally for 20 years so this is nothing new to me. I intend to go through everything, I hate to break down. The motor is a 1995 that we are rebuilding. I wanted to buy new but my wife would not get a second job to buy it. The nerve!!!! After reading almost everything on this site I've come up great information, resources, and ideas. ;D
