			well it is not the tank or gas!!! 
		
		
		
		
		
		
			took her out with a portable tank saturday and she still has her problems. there was a loud pinging or banging noise coming out of the carberator after she was warmed up for about 4 miles, after she started making the noise she would not go over 3100 rpm. she is goin to the local mechanic here some day this week. :'( I GIVE :(

			yeah, good marine mechanic right down the street. heard nothing but good things about them and it is where i have been buying all my parts

			Take a wooden pole like a toilet plunger handle. (MUST BE WOOD) Crank the motor and put one end against your ear and place the other end in places against the block, valve cover oil pan sides of the block. That will tell you where the noise is coming from. Use the stick as a Stethoscope to find your noise. That will locate the problem.

			BUT I AM PRETTY SURE THE NOISE IS COMING OUT OF THE CARBURATOR. TAKING HER THE THE SHOP TOMORROW AT LUNCH, THEY SAID THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET TO HER IN A WEEK :-[

			Just my 2 cents but I have a co-worker that recently bought a albemarle that would run fine then poorly (low RPMS) and so forth. The carb was rebuilt prior to purchase so we assumed it wasn't that. After 2 weeks of changing everything we put a brand new carb on and runs like a top.
