Bring back the V ….BUT with updated hull design.

Bill Potter of Seacraft fame built a 21 ‘ for which there are now only a few remaining .
It had an exceptionally tall bow with associated very deep V entry.

Or just copy the new Reg Hull design .

Concept being V20/21 style .

Also have to remember, when these hulls were built and sold, average tow capacity of the vehicles was probably 3 to 4 thousand pounds. We were a drawtite trailer hitch dealer and 90 percent of what we installed was class 1, 200 lb tongue weight, 2000 lb tow weight. Occasionally a guy would want a class 2, 350 lb tongue 3500 lb tow weight.

Most pick ups came with a step bumper and thats what they towed with.

It kills me that you see all these guys with 2500/3500 diesels pulling 5000lb loads around.

That***8217;s why a working guy who actually needs that capacity can t afford them, only doctors, lawyers and accountants.

I completely agree. Big diesel trucks are everywhere it seems, and rarely are they doing any work. But frequently they are speeding.

Once upon a time the drivers blowing your doors off on the interstate were in sports cars. Now it's more often a big pickup truck, and sometimes they're blowing your doors off while towing a boat or camper!

But I digress . . .

I agree with Skunk. Nobody is buying cuddy's anymore.

Why are they not buying cuddys anymore? Maybe cause they don't make them. I fished on a 19 center console and there is no room on that boat, the Steplift has a ton of room behind the helm and on the c.c if you has to take a crap your screwed on my V I close the door open the hatch and do my buisness Give me the V20 anytime I'm not talking about boats in the 22 And larger I'm talking about a 20.6 boat They are the best for that size . I own a 1978 and still to this day love the look. Think of a corvette a 1956 vet vs a c8 vet, sure the newer one is faster, much faster but the 56 is so much more fun to drive, case close.

I owned a center console….cramped, and of course cold, hot, wet depending on conditions.
V about the most versatile boat all around for what it is .

Boat mfg in Australia makes a V type boat that’s modern built for hard ocean running.

Just like station wagons. The manufacturers have marketed (successfully) what they want to sell.
