ah gotcha. For reference, I'm getting 53mph gps with a 225 on my 83 V20 Fisherman. Full tank of gas, 2 people, and a cooler full of ice and beer. So I don't think you're too far off with the 200. Are you cuddy or center console?

I have a cuddy, and at the time had roughly 23 gallons of gas, no gear, only myself.

Update: I went to take it out again last night and fired it up, getting ready to leave and had opened the engine hatch to inspect a weird noise. There was a little water coming out of the 3-4" exhaust boot coming off starboard riser, in the crease. Dry rot. Pain in my ***, but with Prime shipping I ordered the gasket and new boot for today arrival. And for half the price of the same exact Sierra parts that my local marina wanted. Now... anyone suspect that I was losing a little power due to that exhaust leak that I did not know existed?

Another update: I got a new exhaust boot and installed. New riser gasket and boot installed nicely (but wouldn't you know it a bolt that hangs the throttle assembly on the riser broke off while reinstalling - but an easy fix). Fire it up and it runs beautifully. The lake was like glass yesterday after work, so I took it out to test. WOT was 4600 RPM and it hit 47.2 mph.
