I have had sciatica, mine seems to have always been related to the heavy belt I used to wear at work. Yours seems to be related to your fall, but could be being aggravated by wearing a tight belt or a heavy load around your waist
If you wear a belt and carry a lot of stuff on it or in your pockets, suspenders might help some. There is a reason you see old geezers wearing them. Something else to try.
