Down rigger fishing for salmon big bend in the rod helps set the hook when you get a strike and keep the hook in due to barbless rules.

My favorite salmon lures for trolling with that being said dad caught 5 salmon when I had a down rigger issue and he let out 30-40 feet of line. The coho were attacking his lure twirling in the tide while we were drifting hahaha.

It's a tank for sure and rides like one it's definitely not a V20/21 experience on the water lol.
