Had a 12' aluminum semi v and a '56 rude 7.5....
Motor was given to me by a 7th grade teacher of mine with a rod through the block... Bought a used rod for $20, jb welded the case, cleaned the carb and took that old beater out on Sandusky bay and Lake Erie in rough water many times... My 'bilge pump' was pulling the plug under way and when it was rough the plug stayed out ... Lol Oh to be a teenager again..... Bullet proof! |

12' SeaKing Fiberglass with a 4.5hp Merc, on a trailer because it was too heavy for a child and his mom to put into the trunk of a 1972 Pontiac LeMans. Those were the days! Simple and fun. Enjoy your RIB, it will do all that fiberglass starter boat would, except sink...
I know it doesn't seem likely but i have a 19' skiff that drafts not much more than the old 12' fiberglass I grew up in. Beating around the backwaters and exploring without risking tearing something up.. love it still.
