Seems your giving up a lot of restate in the transom area for a splash board. Why not move it aft more and use a drop door to provide the necessary room for the engine when it is tilted up for transport/storage?

thought about doing a drop door and it still can be done. Right now where it sits is only 12 inches off the transom whick really isnt alot. Ive mock fished the boat and have rod holders layed out and it seems that every thing is easily reachable. Im gonna mock the motor up again before I place the washboard and then I will take pics. let me know what ya think.

Looking great Kracker!!

I am still plucking along on my sons V project. I am going to add a splash well similar to that to his. He has the fishboxes in the back that I have to work around, but shouldn't be a big deal.

Side note: I see you still have EXCELLENT taste in beer. This is a motivational Natty pic for you when you splash

heres the wash board all finished up. I will fabricate the starboard cleats that get mounted to the liner to hold the washboard in place.
