We don't snorkel for them, but a lot of guys dredge them by hand and or have shellfidsh grants.

those must be the ones i see in the fish markets called Sea scallops or diver scallops. they are much bigger than bay scallops. rkc is right, would be a sin to fry those, great on the grill though.
i am jealous of your cheaper lobster prices. around here your looking at $20 a pound at walmart. i guess every neighborhood has it's advantages.. |

We have both sizes!! Small Bay scallops and the larger sea scallops, I love the Bay!! there is a place here called the NO Name restaurant and they have the greatest ones I have ever eaten!! I love what we call the milk, I love the juice!!!!!!!!I use to get them all the time when friend pete had his clam farm!!

Our trip is almost here!! Any inside scoop on where the scallops are at lately would be much appreciated. We're staying in steinhatchee at the Sunset Place resort.... It's the last one you see on the right as you are motoring outta the channel in the boat parade.
