Agreed could be lack of oil or system needs bleeding, try to assist it by physically lifting the the engine whilst someone trims it up to see if its just stuck valve etc .
Remove and clean the manual release valve, check for contamination of the oil, fill her back up to filler hole and test. |

I do not believe its electrical. We are hooking the trim motor wires straight to the battery right now because there is no black solenoid box. He just got one and I will be installing it tomorrow. He did say the previous owner replaced the trim motor. Could it be a problem with the installation? Spare I will check for the o rings. The trim motor sounds strong and will let the motor down just not push it up. I have tried to assist it with no avail.

Can't beat that!!
