First time posting here
Good afternoon all;
I bought a 1982 V20 Steplift. I have been getting ready for the water and I'm almost done. Part of my "Getting Ready" deals with the motor - I would like to polish the cover a bit. It has become somewhat oxidized and dull. Cleaner polish didn't seem to do much. Went to West Marine and was offered the opportunity to pay $29.99 for a 16 oz bottle of color restorer. If I have to spend that much for a good job I will, but there must be some alternative. I have found tha WM can be brutal with pricing. Regards to all Hal

Hal welcome to the site. I can't help with your issue but someone will be along that will know how to fix the paint issue. Don't be a stranger after you get your cover fixed. There are alot of god people with valuable information on this site and they are willing to help.

Welcome to the site!
I would imagine any good car polish would fix up your cowl...I like the stuff in the orange bottle...."New Finish" I think it is, should be available at the auto parts store or Wally World for much less than West Marine.
