Moving the battery forward

On my 21 there was a floor hatch just inside the cuddy that actually went back under the floor deck...my electric trolling motor required two large deep cycle batteries and under there is where I put them...I also used that hatch for a fish box which required me to some what isolate the batteries from fish/ice. Of course the batteries were in secured boxes, but I also made a slide for both boxes which allowed easy access for battery maint and locked in place for running...sounds complicated, but I wanted them low center of gravity and out of general storage...that area will also provide SHORTEST route to your motor for wires...I agree w/Spare re wire sizes, etc...
