Actually you DID say "clean up" and I knew what you meant.
I've seen it go both ways ..... Both with a "well known" fellow doing the work.
As long as he really does have a good understanding of what works well for a marine engine you are likely ok but sooo many people want to build a boat engine the same way they would a dragster. Just saying be careful mate.

lol really I want a good idle don't want it thumping when I engage it into gear or doing 5mph at idle

personally I'd most likely leave it alone.. edelbrock makes good stuff right out of the box... MIGHT be worth a call to edelbrock tech line to discuss their thoughts on your planned mods tho

Went and seen my mate at the machine shop and he hasn't done anything to the engine since I dropped the connecting rods off. He told me in 4 weeks and I said I need it now as its too close to summer know and I want to wet it this year

Finally bought some head studs found them on ebay Jeggs has a ebay store . Well I had dramas with that buy too .they said they post internaion and they needed to give me a price. Four weeks I remined them every week no reply so I just bought another set of them and then they woke up . I bought them of ebay because they were the only ones that would sell a set for one head . The studs ended up coming and when I went to collect them the package seemed heavy . when I got home and open it sure enough they sent me 2 head sets not one . I should sell these on ebay and then buy another 1/2 set and keep doing it till they wake up LOL

I have got a 500 cfm edelbrock carb that I bought for my engine .I was thinking of buying a 750 cfm edelbrock as well as I think when the boat is on the cruise it may have the secondaires on the carb open beacause the primary ones are small . I have had this on cars too were a bigger carb in a 4 barrel gives you better millage ???? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS
