The FORMULA 233 had to be one of the most copied hulls of all time, so it can get tricky trying to tell the difference between an actual FORMULA and a copy. You can always tell the FORMULA 233 from the transom(has the flat portion with steps that meet up with the curved portion), and the cap on them(before 73 had one style, and 73+ had another. Most copies were of the pre 73 cap). The 233 hull was also made by COBIA, AQUASPORT, SEABIRD, APOLLO, PERFORMER, BLUEWATER, CONTENDER, BERTRAM made a few but most were exported to AUSTRALIA, and many others I'm sure I'm forgetting right now.

this is our 24 albemarle. which is a identical hull to the 233. Albemarle might have changed the deadrise alittle and some other things but they are twins. Carolina Classic is also the same hull. If you look behind the cooler and swim platform in this pic you can see the flat spot on the transom Ferm is talking about. In my experience the formulas are alot lighter on glass than the our 24 Albemarle which comes in at about 7400 pound dry weight but Albe marle is a Factory/custom boat and is gonna have more glass in them.
