BTW, don't most boats have a second HID number hidden somewhere? Like under the rub rail?

I would keep an eye out during your cleaning\ restoration...

Please keep pictures coming!

Thanks anyone know the hidden location? I think to stay real on this thing the 165 will be the power plant pulling it out as soon as I build a Aframe out of some 14' I Beams.

I have had trouble with photo bucket to get picts to load. Hope it works this week. will fully document the Restoration. This is my first CC she seems like a good start.

Thanks for the encouragement.

To go OB on a bracket you would need to get a 'floatation' bracket and not just a bracket that sets the engine back. This will help distribute the weight at rest and while up to speed....it actually acts like a hull extension to a point.

The link for craigslist doesnt work, but I have a late 80's 200 Black Max on a regular transom and best I have seen is 53mph on GPS

Well over the weekend I found a brand new engine & out drive. All connected to a 1972 20' Renke or something like that.

Turns out it has a new Mercuiser Longblock fresh installed with a rebuilt outdrive.
Also came with a Outdrive service manual. The guy was restoring the boat & never bought the seats.
She was run on the muffs only, never seen a lake = YET!

Yes the Interlux Perfection topside & Imron for the Hull.she will be on the trailer seldom will see dockside life. Been trying to finish My Jeep blocking the shop. Got the TJ in clear last nite, going to fire up the new 165 Merc & see how she shakes out.

We have been Perch fishing in our spare time, in the little 19 Starcraft.
Anyone need a nice little 19' Starcraft with a 800 Merc. Need paint money.

How does the VC compare to Imron KJ? everyone out here uses Imron. is the Interlux a better harder epoxy.? what color you looking at I am looking at different 2 tone combos.

I kinda like the Teflon additive in the VC product. might save fuel over time?
