Yes prolly keep the 165 in her to stay within budget. Just got a roll of 6" 80 grit Norton and some flat board 180 grit. I pulled the console and still have to cut out the floor where it is soft. As far as the hard Board floor hatch material still need to do some research. Was thinking Teak. Have to get rid of the press board hatch covers. What is the best way to go KJ Think MJ used the board material. Also What is the best paint Imron, Pettit, InterLux? was thinking the Whaler blue Inner floors (It is titled as a 72 Whaler) or gray - beige Bed liner for the floor to keep her non slip. What are the best paint systems that you have found KJ? Your gettin close on paint, have you made a decision yet? On your paint system have to catch up on your build been gone all weekend. Keeping in mind it was a $500 initial investment for the boat. have another $3-4K to put into her Keep it @ the 5K range complete. T-Top $1000 Engine overhaul $1000 Outdrive service & Prop $ 500 Fiberglass & materials $ 500 Primer, paint materials $ 500 Misc, Stainless parts $ 500 Might be able to trim some cost here & there. Time to hit CL........ Should I make a Build thread or Keep this one alive? Outboard is kinda out of the question at this point, unless I can get a Bracket for $200 Anyone have a bracket out there? Or do you guys just build them. I can feel the itchin already ... Need some Tyveck outfits. Glad the heat is around 60 degrees now. Have to get her ready for paint. Before Indian summer, need 75 degrees to have the paint cure. Was 39 in the UP & frost advisory's already. Will have her ready for a trip down south this winter
