he stated the title says boston whaler and he has other stuff leading in a different direction. Chris Craft had a V20 look a like at one point also. But like kracker says someone been messing with it and who knows?
Just fix it and use it, she will be fine!

The liner was what had me all over the map on her it was a freshwater boat from Lake Huron. registered as a whaler. could not find any Hull numbers might be a modified Whaler Liner? Or MAKO not sure. I was looking at a Sea Drive turned out to be a Bracket ![]() Now I know the difference. My buddie has a Black MAX for a couple grand. would look nice off an Armstrong Bracket. She will be a good solid TUNA clipper, where do I go to get some TUNA! ![]() Or go troll off Naples on the rocks for some Black Grouper. Really like the lines on her, the flat top has me baffled... ![]() Did any have that type of console? Whoever built it made it pretty solid looks like she could handle a 225 Black MAX. with my little 9.9 Merc 4 stroke kicker. Now looking for a T-Top if anyone has one that will work I am on the way

So Union Laker what is your next step with the boat? Clean it and rebuild motor? You plan on painting the boat?

Congrats on your "new" boat.
If the engine uses a heat exchanger has good compression, I bet you will happy with that set-up. BTW, don't most boats have a second HID number hidden somewhere? Like under the rub rail? I would keep an eye out during your cleaning\ restoration... Please keep pictures coming! rkc

Yes prolly keep the 165 in her to stay within budget. Just got a roll of 6" 80 grit Norton and some flat board 180 grit. I pulled the console and still have to cut out the floor where it is soft. As far as the hard Board floor hatch material still need to do some research. Was thinking Teak. Have to get rid of the press board hatch covers. What is the best way to go KJ Think MJ used the board material. Also What is the best paint Imron, Pettit, InterLux? was thinking the Whaler blue Inner floors (It is titled as a 72 Whaler) or gray - beige Bed liner for the floor to keep her non slip. What are the best paint systems that you have found KJ? Your gettin close on paint, have you made a decision yet? On your paint system have to catch up on your build been gone all weekend. Keeping in mind it was a $500 initial investment for the boat. have another $3-4K to put into her Keep it @ the 5K range complete. T-Top $1000 Engine overhaul $1000 Outdrive service & Prop $ 500 Fiberglass & materials $ 500 Primer, paint materials $ 500 Misc, Stainless parts $ 500 Might be able to trim some cost here & there. Time to hit CL........ Should I make a Build thread or Keep this one alive? Outboard is kinda out of the question at this point, unless I can get a Bracket for $200 Anyone have a bracket out there? Or do you guys just build them. I can feel the itchin already ... Need some Tyveck outfits. Glad the heat is around 60 degrees now. Have to get her ready for paint. Before Indian summer, need 75 degrees to have the paint cure. Was 39 in the UP & frost advisory's already. Will have her ready for a trip down south this winter

Here is the link, still too heavy? I could fill the front bow with lead? 100lsds or so so she rides like a shamrock. 200 Black MAX http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/boa/3260405002.html 135 Merc http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/boa/3274583294.html I would think the 135 is a little under powered. Man been looking at Brackets!! Cheeper to buy a whole boat ![]() Looking like she will stay a inline 6 I/O would the 200 Merc. be too much too! what all do they weigh? compared to a 225 Merc.
