yes both sides are guilty. I was always curious as to why sterilization is not part of govt free health care. for example let's say this woman didn't won't more than 5 kids because the government had a 5 child cap on benefits received. In example, if you have more than 5 kids you do not get more benefits. There would be 2 motives to get the surgery. 1. The Government will not support more than 5 kids thus meaning I shouldn't have more kids. 2. hey free surgery not to have more kids that I will not receive aid for. The cap could be whatever you want. that's not the point I am debating. For example lets say that the surgery was $5000 to the tax payer. You would figure that between the medicaid and the WIC (free baby food) and the cost of delivery to the baby. that surgery would make sense financially to the Government.

This is would be completely voluntary to all those that qualify and would be better for the Mother and all the children. I thought it was a universal issue that parents want better lives for their children. I don't seen how this would disagree with that argument. Can someone play devil's advocate to my idea?

It still all comes down to one main theme, education that is not scaled down.
My son teaches high school in Los Angeles, you would not believe some of the stories he tells my wife and I.
It just amazes us to no end how kids can get to high school with the lack of knowledge he tells us about.
Let alone the lack of respect that should be taught at home.

My wife is a high school teacher in Florida(sub for now after all of the budget cut's, they have to work more hours for less pay and no benefits as subs). I have heard stories from her of girls in high school who were juniors(yes 16-18 years old) that didn't know why they got a period and what caused pregnancy. Or high school seniors who have been passed through the system right on schedule who couldn't read so the teachers had to help them and basically do ther work for them. Not to mention how much they have had to drop the educational level down in certain classes because of a child with a learning disability was in it so the whole class had to drop back to basically a 4th grade level so we don't single out ONE kid who cannot physically or mentally keep up. I see on one hand how mainstreaming the kids with learning disabilities can be good for them, but look on the other hand how much it hinders kids who don't have one and have to learn at the same level as somebody with one. She has had students who were so bad that they knew the only job they will ever be able to hold will be as a bagger at a grocery store due to there learning disabilities, yet the school system makes teh teachers pass them so they can get the federal money for putting a special needs kid through the school system. It is reall a sad state of affairs we now have to live with.

And yes, this is the same educational system that has produced the woman in this video and is educating her offspring as my wife teaches school about 20 minutes outside of Tampa where this news clip is from.
