That will almost certainly backfire as we tried something like this don here by us where they changed the flow of water to prevent a golf course from flooding(the guy who built it had the city limits extended out to cover the course as he was buddies with everybody in the city). Yep... Ferm's right on the money. No lawsuit here, but they (the tv channels) have been to hundreds of homes around here, (Channel 2, 4, 5, 7 and 12). They've gotten an earfull from lots of people in the last 4 years since the floodgates were put in, but there has not been a single peep, not a mention of it on any channel in 4 years. Someone is getting paid a lot of money to keep this thing quiet.

I just saw on another site they have ordered another evacuation of Fairfield NJ, the Passaic River is flooding there again.
