I would be sure of my prop size before I started drilling for a hydro foil. I've had motors that had them from the previous owners, but I would think the manufacturers would use them if they really worked.

do you know if many v20's cam with a 3.0 engine

I had a hydrofoil on another boat and did not see a heck of a lot of difference with it.

check speed and rpm use a gps for speed but remember current and wind condition trim and prop all play a part of speed. be sure to check your run both ways!
