how fast hey guys ts my 1st time on this forum, i was hoping some of you may be able to help. i bought this project 1989 v 20 last year and put a new 3,0 mercruiser in her, plus a million other things but my question is this, i took her out for a little run the other day she ran great but she runs a little slow i think, i know its not a 350 in here like i had in my 236 coastal. so does ANYONE SUGGEST a HYDROFOIL i am not sure of my prop size by the way. oh and it does plane off. any help by you v20 pro's would be helpfull, thanks, john |

I would be sure of my prop size before I started drilling for a hydro foil. I've had motors that had them from the previous owners, but I would think the manufacturers would use them if they really worked. |

I had a hydrofoil on another boat and did not see a heck of a lot of difference with it. |

check speed and rpm use a gps for speed but remember current and wind condition trim and prop all play a part of speed. be sure to check your run both ways! |
